Medicare Made Easy
My name is Jay Gray and the name of our
Company is Just Us Insurance, Partners with Bridlewood Insurance.
We’re located in sunny San Marcos, California. We specialize in Medicare, that’s our bread and butter and then we also do health and life insurance, that’s our jam and jelly.
I lived with my dad in Big Bear for 10 years and back in 2009, he passed away. But I went through the six months of him not being on the right plan, we just had VA only for him. I didn’t really understand it that well. And after he passed away, I felt, you know what? I need to make a change because this is something that people really need.
Going forward Medicare is my focus.
My daughter Heather started working with me about six years ago and she started off with the individual health and she’s the queen of individual health…she’s really good at that!
About five years ago, I connected with Jeff and Kim Wetzel with Bridlewood, and I’m now an agent manager with them and all of our Medicare is submitted through them.
An independent agent that’s able to offer Medicare advantage and Medicare supplements is needed. Some agents that are out there – they only do Medicare supplements. And I think it’s a harm because they’re not able to know exactly what’s available. We handle all of California and then as our clients, if they’re moving out of state, we’ll go ahead and move with them. I think we’re in about 18 states now. Somebody’s moving…we want a client for life.
So once we’ve spent the time, we’re going to get a license out there and help them wherever they move. Every year, we have to get re-certified. With any of the Medicare advantage plans we’re with, we have to take a test, so it’s continual relearning, continual training.
The clients have the option to come to our home office if they want, but also that we can do a phone appointment or we can also do a Zoom meeting right over the Internet with them, so they’ve got the option of the three.
